Dear Families,
As the new owners of Prospect Preschool Academy, effective February 28, 2022, we want you to know how special this school is to our family and how grateful we are for this opportunity. We have been part of the Prospect Preschool Academy family since 2016 and it has been the most wonderful experience. Leaving your children in someone else’s care is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do, but we have felt the warmth and love of the staff here since day one. Our son, Harrison, graduated from Pre-K last year and is in kindergarten at Harmony Elementary School where he is flourishing thanks to the strong teachers and curriculum here. Our daughter, Margot, is currently in Ms. Katie’s class in the four year old room and loves her days here, as well.
We want to assure you that we do not intend to change the wonderful foundation built by Shishir and the team, only improving upon it. More on that below. We will honor all commitments made by each family and Shishir regarding tuition. We have especially loved that tuition does not increase during your time here.
The staff will not change, so please rest assured your amazing tenured teachers will be here and feeling the love from us as owners. Ms. Ann, the backbone of the school for twenty-five years, has been named the interim Director. This will ensure the smoothest transition possible. We intend to be involved, just as Shishir was, and you’ll see us around during drop-off and pick-up and often times cooking up the yummy meals our children all love.
Tuition will be paid per your usual method for March.

However, the one change that will occur over the course of next month, is our shift to a childcare management app that will primarily be used to streamline communication, tuition billing, check-in/check-out, and record keeping. The service is called Hi Mama. In addition, it has many more features that we will adopt over time as the teachers become more familiar. For more info on this, please visit himama.com. We will reach out next week to begin registering each family.
A little about our qualifications and professional backgrounds, Tim was born and raised in Louisville, graduating from St. Xavier High School in 2000, followed by Northern Kentucky University. He is a life-long entrepreneur, and has ran his architectural photography firm for the past 13 years.
Erika is originally from London, KY where her family still resides, and has lived in the Louisville area since 2004. She attended the University of Kentucky, with a degree in Integrated Strategic Communications and a minor in Psychology. For the past twenty years, she has worked in non-profit. She spent fifteen years at the American Heart Association, with her last role there as Vice President of their Youth Market division. Since 2018, she has worked for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, first as the Executive Director of the Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter and since 2020 as the National Director, Business Development. She plans to transition to a full-time focus on Prospect Preschool in the next few months. She is passionate about making a difference in our world and is certain working with your children is the biggest difference she can ever make.
We know many of you as friends and fellow parents, and look forward to getting to know everyone. We are always available and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Please know how blessed we feel to take on this role and that we see it as a business to pass on to our own children someday. Wishing you happiness, health and the best experience ever in the days ahead!
With gratitude,
Erika (859-576-4787) and Tim Furlong Jr. (502-930-2114)
